W E L C O M E to my crazy little world that is S L I G H T L Y G A R D E N O B S E S S E D
I would just like to start by letting you know I absolutely L O V E outdoor spaces, particularly outdoor spaces of the home. There is not a day that goes by when I am not thinking about a style, researching techniques or dreaming of a wanderlust location that I can bring into a garden.
Hence the name of my (virtual) garden design studio...
And virtual because a lot of my work is done via Skype, Facetime and email to service clients Australia wide & internationally.. My love of travel and living abroad has been a constant source of inspiration and has helped with blurring the boundaries of the world to allow me to connect with clients across the country and globe with ease.
My fave destinations? There are many... But most are hot, humid + surrounded by azure waters - Italy, Croatia, Turkey + Mexico to name a few. And what's on the top of my need-to-go-to list? Morocco + Sri Lanka. You will find influences from wanderlust destinations in many of my outdoor designs.
I hope you find some inspiration of your own within these pages. Thanks again for taking the time to have a peek at my work & find out more about what I do. We have a lot of BEYOND EXCITING happenings at the moment.. Most are listed below for you to learn about.
If you would like to work with us (GET TO KNOW OUR TEAM HERE) or to find out more, you can get in touch HERE or book a consult (either on site in Perth or via Skype) HERE.
And be sure to follow us on
for a little look behind the scenes into our projects + everyday...

Green Love Co. Foundation
We are currently setting up the Green Love Co. Foundation, a place where we create community campaigns to build gardens for families in need. We raise funds through part proceed sales of locally manufactured luxe outdoor furniture, designed by Mon... And by collaborating with like-minded local and national businesses.
This initiative all began from our community project last year, 'A Garden For Sare' www.sgoxblog.com/agardenforsare
We wanted to make this a regular thing so Green Love Co. Foundation was born.
We will be starting small, with our aim to gift one garden a year to a family in need. There will be an application process throughout the year, with the recipient chosen by a panel.
More details are to follow soon, once we have the new business structure underway and processes in place.
We'd love for you to join us on our journey via the Green Love Co. Insta page here.
Luxe Indoor / Outdoor Furniture
Introducing H BAR, our first range of luxe indoor/outdoor furniture.
This solid brass - weighing at over 35kg - statement piece indoor/outdoor occasional lounger (pictured right) will last a lifetime and is designed for all weather use. Patina will (and should!) occur.
Providing opportunity for local businesses is key to Slightly Garden Obsessed, which means each piece is handmade by traditional soldering technique locally in Perth, Australia.
High quality outdoor fabrics choices are by Tommy Bahama, Warwick, Sunbrella and more.
Our custom designs will soon be featured at the Natalie Rolt Boutique, 92 Stirling Hwy North Fremantle and in homes and boutique hotels (fingers crossed) around Australia.
10% of each sale goes to the Green Love Co. Foundation.

Mon Palmer for Bauwerk Colour
Mon has been an absolute fan of Bauwerk paints since the start of her landscaping journey in 2008. Their first collaboration was for a garden display at Garden Week in 2010. The display was a great success, taking out the Best Landscape award & Best in Show. MAJOR!!
Since then, Mon has specified Bauwerk's natural lime paints in nearly every one of Slightly Garden Obsessed's projects. And has also painted the entire inside and outside of their home in the local Perth company's Whitewash.
To say she's obsessed is an understatement. So when Bronwyn (owner) asked if she would like to create a line of outdoor paints for Bauwerk, it was only polite to oblige (FREEEEEEKIN' HELLLLS YEEEES).
Here's a little sneak peek image of MELROSE... More to come soon.
This colour is pre-releasing shortly.. Full range launching in November 2016.
Watch this space!
We are opening a DESIGN STUDIO!!
No longer will we be only online and working from the kitchen bench! We will also be found upstairs at Napoleon Close on Napoleon Street in the fabulous beachside suburb of COTTESLOE.
We cannot contain our excitement and are already designing our fitout... A little of our inspo is to the right >>
We'll be soft opening at the end of July.. But will leave the big celebrations for when Mon gets back from Byron after the spring.
The studio will be our space for designing, holding events, gathering, Friday drinks (WOO!), meeting, dreaming, planning and creating.
It will also be a place to view and try our products and furniture.
It's be no means a big space, but it will be our space and I know you're going to love it as much as we already do... Hope to see you there real soon!
We have designed a range of copper + brass outdoor showers in the hottest colour combinations of brass, copper, black and white to ensure a perfect fit for any outdoor space.
Our hot + cold copper outdoor showers are designed by Mon and assembled locally in Perth by a licensed commercial plumber.
The showers are currently going through WELS & Watermark testing to ensure Australian standards and regulations are met.
Soon to be available online and in store at LAHAUS & Eco Outdoor Perth.
If you would like to be notified when the showers are available please drop us a line via our contact page.

From mid August through to November 2016 Mon, her partner Phil & their blue english staffy Tonka will be packing up the car and heading on a roadtrip to Byron Bay and the east coast!!! WOOOO EPIC!!
Business will be as usual, with her Design Assistant Nikki on the ground back in Perth working in the studio and Mon - with laptop in hand - designing and running the business and product lines from where ever the journey takes her.
Since the beginning of Slightly Garden Obsessed, she has developed the business to be location independent; meaning it can still run the same way, whether she is working from her kitchen benchtop or from the Air BnB beach shack they are living in while over east.
