As you may have already guessed, I am a huge fan of garden design. But on top of that I also love business, marketing, entrepreneurship and creative collaboration.
My inspiration fixes for design are usually satisfied by visual smorgasbords including Pinterest, Instagram, design blogs and magazines. But when it comes to entrepreneurship, I find conversing and sharing of stories to be the most motivating and inspiring. To engage in this and to satisfy my cravings- outside of my usual chatter - I religiously listen to online influencers via podcasts and webinars.
So when my friend and colleague, Shah Turner, shot me an email with a link to his creatives podcast, I was hooked! How exciting! Something like this in Perth?! I subscribe to podcasts from the east coast, NZ and the US... and now to be working with someone to get all the behind the scenes juicy details - GOLD!
Shah had dropped hints in conversations here and there about 'having a chat' but I always squirmed out of it in some way with a couple of yeah later's and sounds good! (with no commitment). It was only last week that I finally said the big scary Y word... YES!!
Which then led me to literally saying the WHY word. Whyyyyy would I say yes to such a thing?!
But do you know what? It was one of the best creative achievements I've made so far.
The moral of this story? Do not let fear get in your way. Face it. Surprise yourself. It feels good!
